Our ten-year expertise in the energy optimization of passengers cars and industrial vehicles places us at the forefront of intervening in the energy transformation of vehicles. Indeed, our knowledge is:
- Designed and put into service in-house, on innovative concepts;
- Multidisciplinary thanks to three complementary design offices which carry out in-house projects and manage subcontracting;
- Focused on the energy management of vehicles in real situations: Knowledge of propulsion systems, non-invasive instrumentation, driving robot and precise and repeatable test scenarios.
GREENMOT has, since its beginnings, acquired a maturity allowing the success of large industrial projects.
The regulatory framework for retrofit
Context
The French Law on Energy Transition for Green Growth of August 18, 2015 requires a significant reduction in the consumption of fossil fuels. This is reflected in the replacement of diesel vehicles, especially commercial vehicles for passengers transportation, with clean energy solutions.
Furthermore, the decree of March 13, 2020 authorizes the transformation of thermal motor vehicles into battery-powered or fuel cell electric motors. This transformation is named electrification or retrofit.
Main objectives of the French Law – From : ADEME
Retrofitting is thus the act of “changing old components for new ones“. This intervention makes it possible to modify the engine of an existing bus in order to give it a second life and to continue its operation, without creating additional waste.
Retrofitting is the economical and sustainable alternative to buying new vehicles and to give your vehicle an environmentally friendly second life as an electric vehicle.
